TNA has been promoting a major announcement that will take place at Sunday’s No Surrender PPV. Along with the major announcement, they may also announce which “former world champion” they have been negotiating with.
The major announcement is expected to be the expansion of Impact into a two-hour series, which will begin in October. According to sources, the deal is done and that an announcement will be forthcoming.
In regards to the “former world champion”, TNA officials are keeping very quiet about who they are negotiating with. Sources have been told that there was some sort of movement within the company to finalize the deal with whoever this talent may be.
Update : TNA will announce their new two hour Impact timeslot tonight during the No Surrender PPV. It doesn’t look like the announcement will close the show as the final slot belongs to Angle vs. Abyss.
-- Apparently there has been a talent acquisition to the TNA roster that should be announced tonight in one form or another. Whoever the talent is, it’s not expected that the person will appear live on the show. The name hasn’t been revealed to anyone backstage, other than the hint that it was a former World champion.
